The Inaugural Champion of Change Awards Presented at the Fifth Annual Champions of Change Luncheon

The Champions of Change Luncheon has brought together Diversity Champions from across Central Florida for several. The nominees are outstanding representatives of Diversity, Inclusion and Change throughout Central Florida. During this inaugural event, we will present four awards: Individual Champion of Change, Corporate Champion of Change, Non-Profit 501c (3) or 501c (6) Champion of Change and Governmental Champion of Change.

Individual Champion of Change

This Individual Champion of Change actively fosters and encourages diversity and inclusion in his or her day-to-day life. They are a model for diversity and inclusion and is a true advocate for change in the community they serve. This award is presented to an individual, not to a company.

Corporate Champion of Change

The Corporate Champion of Change is an organization who actively fosters and encourages diversity and inclusion in the conduct of their business practices. They have a diverse workforce and is an organization who advocates for change and is active in the community they serve.

Non-Profit 501c (3)or 501c (6) Champion of Change

The Non-Profit Champion of Change is open to non-profit organizations (501c classifications with the IRS). This includes Chambers of Commerce, charities, social organizations, foundations, churches and other non-profit organizations. Not-for-profit corporations such as hospitals are not included in this category. They should submit under the Corporate Champion of Change, however, their Foundations are eligible under this category. The Non-Profit Champion of Change is an organization who actively fosters and encourages diversity and inclusion in the conduct of their business practices. They have a diverse workforce and is an organization who advocates for change and is active in the community they serve.

Govenmental Champion of Change

The Governmental Champion of Change is any city, county, state government, quasi-governmental agency or agency/department that is part of a government. This organization actively fosters and encourages diversity and inclusion. This can also include a specific program they have put into place.

Rules

1. Neither nominees nor nominators have to be a member of The Beacon Network.

2. Nominees must be located in Central Florida and serve Central Florida.

3. If you want to nominate someone for more than one category, you must submit separate nomination forms.

4. Current Offices and Directors of The Beacon Network and their immediate organizations and families are not eligible.

5. Deadline for submission is 11:59 p.m., TBD. Late nominations WILL NOT be considered.
